We are frequently approached by Landlords and Housing Associations to undertake work to restore and rejuvenate gardens in preparation for new tenants or prior to the sale of a property.  We are able to undertake the full range of garden clearance operations and are licenced to transport green waste to a licenced recycling centre.  Once site clearance has been undertaken, we are also pleased to provide advice to the Client on new planting, lawn restoration and landscaping.

With this particular project, we were approached by a Housing Association in 2019 to restore the garden of a dwelling that had recently been purchased by them and was being adapted for a disabled tenant.  The garden was extremely overgrown and contained many invasive perennial weeds.  The work necessary included the cutting and clearance of an overgrown lawn, pruning of shrubs and the hand weeding of shrub borders, paths and patios.

The work took two days to complete and after this initial site clearance we were asked to undertake monthly visits in 2019 and 2020 to carry out maintenance.  These maintenance visits gave us the opportunity to eradicate many of the perennial weeds on site with a combination of hand weeding and herbicide applications.  These nuisance weeds included spear thistle (Cirsium vulgare), ground elder (Aegopodium podagraria) and Hedge bindweed (Callystegia sepium).
